As a national higher education organization representing Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE) is dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities for Asian and Pacific American students; promoting and supporting the hiring, retention, and advancement of qualified Asian and Pacific American faculty, staff, and administrators; and creating a better understanding of issues in the public affecting Asian and Pacific Americans in higher education.
APAHE originated in 1987 and has grown from a largely California based organization to a national non-profit organization. It is the only organization whose sole mission is to develop programs and address issues impacting Asian Pacific Americans.
During these most challenging times in higher education, we must remain vigilant to maintain an agenda that embraces diversity and provides for many forums by which to improve our institutions. There are many ways that you and your institution can be represented at the conference. The conference is an excellent way to communicate the mission of your college/university as well as to recruit individuals to apply for position openings on your campuses. Sponsorship will enable your organization to be fully represented at the conference through the new conference online application and other promotional opportunities during the conference.
