Nancy recently retired, with her last post as Vice President for Student Life at Cal State L.A. She initially joined Cal State L.A. in 2008 as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. Her past experiences includeDean of Students at the Art Institute of California, and Assistant or Associate Dean of Students at Purdue University, Calfornia State University Long Beach, and Scripps College. She has served Cal State L.A. as interim Senior Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Dr. Wada-McKee earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology from UC Berkeley, an MS in Counseling from San Francisco State University, and an Ed.D from California Lutheran University. She has provided effective and welcome leadership on a number of fronts since joining Cal State L.A., and has maintained student success and wellbeing as top priorities at every point.
