Dr. Mary Ann Takemoto ecently retired, previously serving as Vice President, Student Affairs at California State University, Long Beach.   Prior, she also served as Director of Student Health Services where see oversaw the Counseling Center, Disability Services, Career Center, and Veterans Services.  Dr. Takemoto is a student-centered administrator with over thirty years of experience in higher education in both the CSU and UC systems.

Dr. Takemoto is a member of the CSU Asian American and Pacific Islander Initiative and has been working with the Long Beach Cambodian community to increase college access and success for underserved AAPI students.  She is a member of NASPA, American Psychological Association, Asian American Psychological Association, and the American College Health Association.   Dr. Takemoto is the college/university liaison to the Long Beach branch of the American Association of University Women and is on the board for the California Conference for Equality and Justice.

Dr. Takemoto is a licensed psychologist with experience in university administration, teaching, training, and consultation.  She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University and her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University.
